IT’S A WINTER’S NIGHT. It’s cold, dark and wet. A small team of volunteers is touring around shops and supermarkets collecting food that is destined for the bin. Most nights of the week, volunteers from Second Helpings in Stamford are arriving at the back door of major retailers, as the front doors are closed to customers.
