I REMEMBER THAT AFTERNOON and the pain, as if it had been etched into my mind. Some years ago, my wife Andrea and I attended a meeting of The Climate Psychology Alliance in Bristol.
We were asked to imagine what the world would be like in ten years’ time. The discussion was informed, intelligent and shocking. I felt that I had looked into the abyss. Later we left, crossed the road to the pub opposite, for a drink and a cry.
