We’re entering a time of beginnings and endings in many forms. In the British climate we’re seeing the end of the growing season and the start of a period of dormancy for many plants and animals. It’s the time when the liturgical year ends and, with the beginning of Advent, a new one starts. After our Christmas celebrations we’re inclined to make plans and resolutions for the year ahead so, Beginnings and Endings seems an apt theme for this winter issue.
