IN MY TWENTIES, I started to notice the appreciation of art as a form of spirituality. This had not really been apparent in the large, charismatic evangelical church I grew up in, and having never learned about art at school, I dismissed it as irrelevant. I did, however, have a niggling concern that appreciating art was what good Christians did and that my faith was inferior if I did not.
