Sacred spaces for Mountain Pilgrims
Paul Rose takes us on a spiritual journey into the mountains
WE HAD BEEN MOUNTAIN PILGRIMS for many years before we ever came up with that name to describe ourselves. The name, taken fairly literally, refers to those who travel in the mountains with the anticipation of something new and profound being revealed to them. Taken more broadly, Mountain Pilgrims describes an emerging community of people who seek to re-imagine the outdoor experience; going outside to discover the ‘thin places’ where the spirit soars and we are lifted out of the everyday. This is what we’d been doing for much of our lives – going into outside spaces because that’s where Sacred spaces for Mountain Pilgrims Paul Rose takes us on a spiritual journey into the mountains we felt most alive and free, most connected to something greater than ourselves and it’s where we most often experienced positive transformation in ourselves and others.
