Dancing on the breath of God
Engage prayerfully as Mother Katharine invites us to silent stillness
HIGH UP ON THE GOSPEL PASS journeying towards Hay on Wye, we pulled over the car. The rain was streaming and the wind buffeting the car. It felt so very precarious, and at the same time awesome: the power and yes, majesty of the storm. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw three kites, not battling with the wind but alive to its music. They were ‘dancing on the breath of God’. And my heart, delighted, was brought to a silent stillness. Now, whenever I see a kite in the sky, whatever the weather, there is a moment of recognition and my heart turns towards our Creator.
