THE VERY WORD INSECT brings up a multitude of different images and inspires different emotions within each of us. This is perfectly understandable as we all have different experiences of these creatures. I feel one emotion we should all share is... love! Now hear me out on this one. As we all know there are many different kinds of love and indeed ‘love’ doesn’t necessarily mean ‘like’. Having experienced the joys of the Scottish midge season whilst camping I’m aware that these particular insects aren’t very likable.
