Spotlight: What do you do with your old copies?

Spotlight: What do you do with your old copies? ST JAMES’ CHURCH MEMBERS

IN THE CURRENT TIMES churches have had to find new ways of engaging with their communities. At St James’ Church, Woolton, Liverpool they have been creative in their thinking, making use of their garden and railings.

The “Thy Kingdom Come” Prayer Initiative in 2017 was the catalyst for a Prayer Ribbon event which was organised over the Pentecost period. The event was very successful with extra ribbons having to be provided to cope with the take-up. Some people took the ribbons home instead of tying them to the railings as an ongoing reminder – all those prayers offered by people wanting to bring a thought or concern to God and each prayer marked by a ribbon.
