ONE OF MY EARLIEST PROTESTING memories is watching a group of climate activists heaving an oversized bag of litter over the fence into the grounds of the Palace of Westminster. I was 12 or 13, at the first march I’d been to without my parents. I was there because the climate crisis scared and appalled me.
