“TEACH THE CHILDREN how to cook; teach them how to eat and teach them how to greet one another!” This is the song elderly women sang to offer their perspective when education was discussed at a gathering in an African village. When this story was shared by a participant at a Consultation of the World Methodist Council and the Organization of African Instituted Churches (Pietermaritzburg,  South Africa 2019) it made a striking point.
