Giving the church back to the community

A time to share: An award-winning project brings an ancient church to life seven days a week, writes Sue Russell

Giving the church back to the community ST LEONARD’S, YARPOLE

ST LEONARD’S, YARPOLE IS A CHURCH with a difference. It is a worshipping community, but our building also houses a shop, a post office and a café. The aging congregation was shrinking, the church was difficult to heat, and the building stood empty most of the week.
