Postcards from the Land of Grief: Comfort for the journey through loss towards hope
Richard Littledale | Authentic (2019)
There are some books which are difficult to review because they are so personal. This is one of them. In this gentle volume, Richard Littledale writes from a harsh landscape – the land of grief.
After the loss of his wife, Fiona, the author wrote ‘postcards’ – short blog posts reflecting on the land he found himself in – and these form the main section of this book. These poignant postcards are bookended by his story of living with and then living without Fiona, ending with an attempt at reflecting on his experiences and then providing help and signposts to others who are dealing with the death of a loved one.
