IT'S NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT TO HEAR A MAN SERVING A LIFE SENTENCE SAY: that he loves Christmas celebrations on the inside almost as much as he loved Christmas as a free man. But Daryl is not your average inmate, nor is Louisiana State Penitentiary (LSP) your typical maximum security prison. Recalling some of his early years behind bars, Daryl clearly remembers just how depressing Christmas could be, men cut off from their families, struggling to get through a so-called holiday that only reminded them of the life they'd lost.
