From cabbages to the king

Paul Latham is a retired agriculturist and Salvation Army officer. Aged 81, now living in Scotland after years of missionary service across Africa, he "plants a few trees now and then" and continues to delight in God's creation. A prolific author on the subject of edible plants and insects indigenous to Africa, he is engaged in resourcing African villages with crops of edible caterpillars, an inexpensive source of protein in areas of poverty. Here he is in conversation with his son-in-law, Stephen Poxon.
